These are the actions you can currently perform from your phone:

View all boards, cards, assignments, tags, color code and due dates.
Perform the following to an individual or set of cards: archive, delete, mark as read/unread, apply tag, assign, change color, add due date, report as spam or move across boards or columns/lists.
Add, edit and delete comments and @mentions in the internal chat.

The goal of this article is to support these teams in their decision on what set up to go for.

What are Shared Inboxes and Google Groups?

They seem to be the same at a first glance, starting with info@, support@, etc. The biggest difference is the way they handle incoming emails.

Shared Inboxes are real inboxes (that you login with a password), and are set up as "users" in your Google Workspace account.
Google Groups work like email distribution lists. When an email is sent to a Google Group, a copy of that email is sent individually to all users inside that particular Group. Google Groups do not count as users in your Google Workspace account.

What is the difference between using Drag with Shared Inboxes and Google Groups?

There are a few differences between using Shared Inbox or Google Groups on Drag boards.

With a Shared Inbox, you can assign a profile picture to your team inbox, for example your company logo, giving a more professional look to your emails.

Drag has a very simple installation process.

Do you have a lot of repeatable tasks in your day-to-day? Don't worry, we've got you covered. With Drag, you can preset rules to automate your workflows.

You may know the Gmail rules or filters. Our automations work very similar to them, but for Drag-related tasks. Here is everything you need to know to use them.

How it works

Each Drag board or workflow is different. That's why you can create different automations for different Drag boards. The best part is that our automations are all cross-boards. This means they allow actions in one board to trigger other actions in a completely separate board.

Our automations are combinations of 5 factors that you can customize:

Trigger (When…)

These are the triggers that determine when a rule will be applied.

Board (On…)

This is the board where your automation will be triggered (i.e. where the automation starts). For example, if you select your main board, this means those rules will be applied to emails from your personal inbox (even the case of being automatically moved to another board).

Conditions (If…)

These are specific conditions that need to be met on top of the triggers and board for the automation actions to occur. You can select as many conditions as you want.

What is the difference between an Empty board, Shared Inbox and Google Groups board?

When you are creating a new board you have the option to either start with an empty board or add incoming emails from a Shared inbox or Google Group.

If you choose to add incoming emails, the emails sent to that Shared Inbox or Google Group will load in real time into the board. If you choose not to add incoming emails, your board will start empty and you can customize it according to your workflows.

Empty board

Choose this option if you want the board to start empty, like a blank canvas. You can then populate it the way you want. Create new cards. Drag cards into it or even create automations to move cards into it automatically. Drag boards were designed to be a flexible workspace for you and your team.

Shared inbox board

Choose this option if you want emails from a shared account (e.g. support@) to load automatically into the board. In this case, you need to have a login and password for the shared email address. **In Shared Inbox boards, new emails sent to that shared email address will load on the

How do I move cards into or across Drag boards?

There are 4 ways to move cards across Drag boards:

1. Drag and drop cards into boards

You can just drag and drop cards across Drag boards. In this method, by default, the cards will always be placed into the first column / list of the destination board.

You can move cards:

From any Drag board to another Drag board.
From the Gmail "Sent" folder into a Drag board.
From a Gmail label or sub-label into a Drag board (and vice-versa).

2. Use the "send to board" button on the top bar

You can move multiple cards at a time using the "send to board" button on Drag's top bar.

Select the cards you want to move.
Click on the "send to board" button.
Select the board you want to move the cards to.
Select the column within that board that you want to move the cards to.
Click on Move.
