Drag allows teams to tag emails and tasks to make it easier to categorize pieces of workflows. For example, for Customer Support teams, tags can be support level, level criticality, type of ticket (bug report / help / feature request), etc. For sales teams, it can be size of opportunity, timezone, probability, etc. It's really up to you and your team to define the best way to categorize your cards. And Drag Shared Labels are here to help.

Shared labels are included in our Pro Plan.

How do I create new shared tags in boards?

Creating new labels in Drag is very similar to doing it in Gmail.

We understand boards and workflows are different from each other. That's why labels are independently created per board. If you want to replicate labels across boards, scroll down to the "Can I copy the Drag label settings from one board to another?" session of this article.
To add new labels in a board, follow these steps:

Select one of multiple cards in your board. A top bar will appear with several options, like in Gmail.

Note if you select a task card, only the Drag options will appear on the top bar (refresh button and tag button), as the Gmail actions do not apply to task cards.

Click on the red "tag" button on the top bar

If you already have tags in this board, the list of tags will appear on a drop down. Otherwise, click on "tag options" button, on the bottom, to add new Drag labels or manage existing ones.

Too add a new label, type the label title on the "new label" box and click on "Add" button on the bottom right of the popup.

Hover the red button on the right of each label name to change the color of the labels.

How do I remove labels from boards?

To permanently remove labels from your whole board, follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 of the point above, then use the trash icon on the right of each label name to remove the label. Note the label will be removed only from the specific board you select.

How do I apply shared labels to cards?

Once you have created the labels in your boards, now it's time to apply them to cards. There are 2 ways of doing it.

Using the Drag popup

Select the label you want to apply

How do I remove labels from cards?

To remove labels from cards:

Click on the card to open the popup preview..
Click on "x" next to the label that you want to remove

Can I copy the Drag label settings from one board to another?

Yes! Everytime you drag a card from one board to another, all the labels from this card that do not exist in the destination board are going to be created in the destination board. So, to copy labels from one board to another, do the following:

Assign the labels you want to copy to a card
Drag this card to the board you want the labels to be created. The new labels will automatically appear on the destination board.
