How do I install a local version of Drag?
Articles on: ⚒️ Troubleshooting
In some specific instances, from closed beta testing schemes to debugging, our team might share a local version of Drag with you. We share these local versions by sending a unique link to you with a .zip file. This article explains how to download and install a local version in your computer.
Note that, while using a local version, you will not be using our live Chrome Store version, thus will not receive the updates we launch into the Chrome Store.
Click on the link sent by our team and, on the top right, select Download to download the local version.
Unzip the file.
Go to chrome://extensions/ (copy and paste this link into your browser).
On the top right of the screen, turn the Developer Mode on. The number of the Drag extension version will appear next to its name.
On the top left, click on Load unpacked.
Select the unzipped file of the local version from your computer.
If you also have the Chrome Store version installed, make sure you disable that version and leave only the local version enabled. Gmail will fail to load if you have both versions enabled.
Refresh your Gmail browser tab and the local version will be triggered.
